There is nothing like blowing your own trumpet, but in this case we are justified. Modernise Your Stairs Southport were contacted by Mrs H. of Ormskirk after two rival companies had told her that they didn’t know where to start with modernising her very unusual staircase.

Mrs H. lived in a house that had been remodelled in the sixties and her staircase originally had a metal balustrade that she was told twice could not be replaced. The wealth of experience we have at our disposal came to the fore. A brief chat with our Southport staircase design team and Mrs H. knew she would finally get what she wanted.
We set about removing the offending metal balustrades and replacing them with mahogany handrails to match the existing wood. This blended beautifully with bronzed glass panels; the end result was stunning, and Mrs H. was extremely satisfied. Another feather in our cap me thinks!

Our Training Pays Dividends for Everyone
It highlights, however, that there are some poor standards of workmanship out there and you need the right company involved. Once we had discussed the problem with Mrs H. and knew exactly what she hoped to achieve, the rest was plain sailing. We prepared what was needed at our workshop, and the job itself only took us a day. So much, for ‘it can’t be done’.
